Equal Pay Act of 1963

Employment decisions should not be made on characteristics such as race, sex, age, or disability.
Men and women same job, same organizations, same pay
Same - equal in terms of : Skill, Effort, Responsibility, Working Conditions
Different - Extra duties, Work shifts, Geographic
Explicit exceptions - Merit Pay, Quantity and Quality, Seniority
